Oil Expeller Filter Presses

We have been serving our clients with Azad Recess Type Filter Presses in the market. The plates & stands of these presses are casted using heavy duty close grained cast iron. The faces of the plates are accurately machined and ground in order to avoid kind of any leakage. These plates rest on heavy type steel plates. The frame of these Azad Recess Type Filter Presses is quiet rigid and durable and can tolerate very high pressure. We offer these at economical prices.

This press is used for the clarification of liquids and consists of a series of chambers. The plates are so recessed that when two plates are closed together a chamber is formed. The plates have a centre feed hole and are grooved on both sides to ensure better flow of filtered liquid. The faces of the plates are cast in pyramid shape to increase filteration area and for better filteration. Tailored filter cloth, centre holes cut in it, is placed on each side of the plate and fastened back to the plate at centre holes with jam nuts. When the press is closed, a flat cloth bag is obtained completely supported in all direction by the pair of plates.

The liquid to be filtered is pumped into the press through the centre hole and it fills the space between the each pair of filter cloth, then it passes through the cloth into the grooves and so to the outlet hole at the bottom of the plate. Gun metal pet cocks are fitted in the outlet holes of the plates.Atray is provided under the pet cocks for the collection of filtered liquid. After being used for sometime the space between each pair of filter cloth is filled with suspended matter. Then the press must be opened and cleaned. This stage is indicated by the pressure gauge fitted on every press.
